China Jeducation: E26 – Homeschooling in China (Part 1)

In this episode (Part 1/2), China Jeducation meets the Littlewood’s, a family who have been homeschooling their 3 children for over 10 years whilst living and working in China. They discuss the ins and outs of a world wide growing movement and most importantly their direct experience of setting up, implementing and continuing their children’s education from home.

Homeschooling is a type of education where children learn outside of a school setting under the supervision of their parents. The family determines what is to be learned and how it is to be taught while following whatever government regulations apply in that state or country. Today, homeschooling is a widely accepted educational alternative to traditional public or private schools, as well as a valuable method of learning in its own right.
