China Jeducation: E14 – A Meeting with Confucius (Part 7)

In this episode (Part 7/7), China Jeducation conducts a mock interview and bicultural discourse with Mrs Qin Liu, in her preparation to become a qualified Chinese language teacher abroad through the international Confucius Institute (www.hanban.edu.cn) and her training partner CTCSOL (www.chineseteacher.org.cn).

Exploring cross-cultural communication, they discuss the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western culture within a teaching context, touching on subjects such as festivals and holidays, social media, summer camps, gifts, copying, refusals, sensitive words, qipao’s, websites, textbooks, wrong lessons, dancing, confucius, Chinese dynasties, food, books, living with parents, first impressions, arranging activities, telegrams, HSK’s, laowai’s, Chinese characters, growing up, pollution, dragons, kissing, alcohol and much much more! Focusing as always on international teaching, expat teachers and all things education related!
